Delivery & Returns
Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
This policy applies to purchases made from allaboutchevrons.com
Different rights apply depending on whether you are purchasing as a consumer or as a business customer. Please read the relevant section below.
For the purposes of this policy, a consumer is an individual purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
A business customer is a person, company, organisation or other entity purchasing wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes.
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Consumer Returns – Change of Mind
If you are purchasing as a consumer online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
You must notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods.
Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
To request a return, please contact us at:
Please provide your name, order number and details of the item or items you wish to return.
Condition of Returned Goods
You may inspect and handle the goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and suitability, in the same way that you might reasonably inspect an item in a shop.
Returned goods should wherever possible be:
-
Unused
-
Undamaged
-
Complete
-
In their original packaging
-
In a condition suitable for resale
We reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from your refund where the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect them.
No restocking fee is charged to consumers exercising their statutory right to cancel.
Consumer Return Shipping Costs
Where a consumer is returning correctly supplied goods because they have changed their mind, the direct cost of returning the goods is the responsibility of the consumer.
We recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service, as the goods remain your responsibility until they are received by us.
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, please see the Faulty or Incorrect Goods section below.
Consumer Refunds
Where a consumer validly cancels an order, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods.
We will also refund the cost of our standard delivery service originally charged for sending the goods to you.
If you selected a more expensive or enhanced delivery option, such as an express or premium service, we are only required to refund an amount equivalent to our standard delivery charge.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method originally used for the purchase unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold the refund until:
-
We have received the returned goods; or
-
You provide satisfactory evidence that the goods have been returned,
whichever occurs first.
Refunds will be processed within the applicable statutory period.
Bespoke, Personalised and Custom-Made Goods
The statutory right to cancel does not normally apply to goods which have been made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised.
Examples may include:
-
Products manufactured to measurements supplied specifically by you
-
Products incorporating your own artwork, wording, logo or design
-
Custom-sized products outside our standard product range
-
Products specially manufactured or modified to meet requirements specified by you
Where a product is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, it cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
However, your statutory rights still apply if the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.
The fact that a standard product is manufactured or assembled after you place your order does not, by itself, necessarily make that product bespoke or personalised.
Business Customer Returns – Correctly Supplied Goods
Business customers do not have an automatic statutory cooling-off or change-of-mind right for goods purchased at a distance.
Accordingly, correctly supplied goods purchased by a business customer may only be returned with the prior agreement of All About Chevrons.
Any acceptance of a return from a business customer where the goods are correctly supplied is made entirely at our discretion and as a goodwill commercial arrangement. It does not create an ongoing or automatic right of return.
Business customers wishing to request a return must contact us before sending any goods back.
Please email:
and provide your order number and details of the goods you wish to return.
Conditions of a Goodwill Business Return
Where we agree to accept the return of correctly supplied goods from a business customer:
-
The return must be authorised by us in advance.
-
Unless otherwise agreed, the goods must be returned within 14 days of our agreeing to accept the return.
-
Goods must be unused, undamaged, complete and in their original packaging.
-
Goods must be in a condition suitable for resale.
-
The business customer is responsible for all costs of returning the goods to us.
-
Original delivery, carriage or shipping charges are non-refundable.
-
A 50% restocking charge will be deducted from the price paid for the returned goods.
-
If we arrange collection or return carriage on behalf of the customer, the cost of that carriage may also be deducted from any refund or credit due.
For clarity, where a goodwill return is accepted, the maximum refund or credit for correctly supplied goods will normally be 50% of the price paid for those goods, less any additional return, collection or carriage costs paid by us on the customer’s behalf.
The original outbound delivery charge will not be refunded.
Business Customers – Bespoke or Specially Manufactured Goods
Bespoke, personalised, custom-made, specially manufactured, specially ordered or modified products supplied to business customers are not returnable simply because they are no longer required or were ordered incorrectly by the customer.
This includes products manufactured or modified specifically for a customer’s individual requirements.
We may nevertheless choose to assist at our discretion where circumstances allow, but we are under no obligation to accept such a return.
This does not affect a business customer’s rights in respect of goods that are faulty, incorrectly supplied or do not conform to the contract.
Incorrectly Ordered Goods
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct product, vehicle model, year, door configuration, roof height, material grade, size and other relevant options are selected when placing an order.
If you are unsure which product you require, please contact us before placing your order.
For consumers, this does not remove any statutory cancellation rights that otherwise apply.
For business customers, an incorrectly ordered product is treated as a change-of-mind return and will therefore only be accepted at our discretion under the Business Customer Returns section above.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
The change-of-mind provisions and business restocking charge described above do not apply where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or do not conform to the contract.
If you believe you have received faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:
Please provide:
-
Your order number
-
A description of the problem
-
Photographs where appropriate
-
Any other information reasonably required to identify the issue
Consumers
Consumer purchases are protected by applicable consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Goods must be:
-
Of satisfactory quality
-
Fit for their intended purpose
-
As described
Where a consumer validly rejects faulty goods, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law and will bear reasonable return costs where we are legally responsible for doing so.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
Business Customers
Where goods supplied to a business customer are faulty, incorrectly supplied or do not conform to the agreed contract, please notify us promptly so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with our contract and applicable law.
The 50% goodwill restocking charge does not apply to goods which we accept are faulty or have been incorrectly supplied by us.
Goods Damaged After Delivery
We cannot accept responsibility for defects or damage caused after delivery by matters including:
-
Incorrect installation
-
Incorrect preparation or application
-
Accidental damage
-
Misuse
-
Modification of the product
-
Failure to follow fitting or application instructions
-
Use on an unsuitable surface
-
Normal wear and tear
This does not affect any rights you may have where the goods themselves were faulty at the time they were supplied.
Returning Goods
Goods should not be returned without first contacting us.
Once a return has been authorised, we will provide the appropriate return instructions.
Please ensure that returned goods are packaged securely.
We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage or using a tracked and insured delivery service for change-of-mind returns.
Refund Method
Where a refund is due, it will normally be issued to the original payment method unless another method has been agreed.
Any refund or credit provided to a business customer as part of a discretionary goodwill return is subject to the deductions and conditions set out in the Business Customer Returns section above.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Returns Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or reduce any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Consumer rights relating to online purchases include the right, in qualifying circumstances, to notify a trader of cancellation within 14 days of receiving goods and then return them within a further 14 days. Standard outbound delivery is normally included in the refund, although the consumer can be required to bear the direct cost of returning change-of-mind goods where they were informed of this requirement.
Business-to-business purchases do not receive the same statutory distance-selling cooling-off period unless the contract itself provides one.
